Carriage Rides and Holiday Open House in Visalia—Hear holiday tunes played by strolling musicians and take a ride on our horse-drawn carriage down Main Street in downtown Visalia 5–8 p.m. December 2nd, 9th, and 16th this holiday season. Christmas at Kearney Mansion in Fresno—Step back in time for a Victorian turn-of-the-century holiday! Elf On A Shelf in Visalia—Some of Santa’s Elves have escaped the North Pole and he needs your help in finding them in time for Christmas! Old-Fashioned Christmas Candlelight Tours in Porterville—The Zalud House comes alive with the holiday spirit featuring special seasonal displays, vintage decorations, and yuletide piano music. Outdoor Holiday Faire in Fresno—In celebration of the holiday season the Theatre Arts Department is happy to present a 40 minute radio play adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Santa Lucia Festival in Kingsburg—December 4th is a day of family-friendly events from 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Enjoy music, food, and craft booths. Of special interest for children, is the Gingerbread House exhibit, visiting with Santa Claus, and dancing around the Christmas Tree. Trek to the Nation’s Christmas Tree in Kings Canyon National Park—On December 12th at 2:30 p.m. chartered buses make the annual trip to the Kings Canyon National Park from Sanger. Don’t delay, call Sanger Chamber of Commerce now for information and reservations. 875-4575

Classy, Brassy Christmas in Fresno—On December 12th at 7 p.m. families can enjoy, “A Classy, Brass Christmas” presented by Fresno Pacific University. Winter Magic! in Fresno—This Youth Orchestras of Fresno concert is accessible to everyone: general admission tickets are free of charge, and premium reserved seats are available for $10–$15. Christmas Tree Lane in Fresno—Drive down Van Ness Boulevard and see all of the elaborate light displays and Christmas scenes that transform the houses into a magical holiday event beginning December 1st continuing through December 25th. Electric Parade in Reedley—Come early to downtown Reedley on December 3rd for a good spot to see this parade “Christmas in Toyland” where tractors, buses, combines, and many antique vehicles will be all lit up with Christmas lights. Toyland Parade in Sanger—Bring the kids to this fun, kid-friendly festive parade in Downtown Sanger December 4th at 11 a.m. Stay and enjoy the Christmas Fest activities after the parade. Winter Fest and Christmas Parade in Caruthers—Join for this annual event on December 3rd from 3–9 p.m. The light parade begins at 6:30 p.m. on Tahoe Street.
